Remote Working Workshop
Our programme is designed to enable participants to effectively manage Remote Working arrangements in the workplace
This programme aims to provide a framework from which an employer- HR, Facilities or Occupational Health Practitioners- can competently manage remote working in a reasonable and practical way.
Information and communications technologies have revolutionised every day work and life. In many companies, the work/life boundary has become increasingly fluid; with employees regularly working from home or other atypical work spaces, working during their transit to work and outside of regular work hours. This has positive and negative implications for companies and the working population. From an Occupational Health perspective, it makes the working arrangement more difficult to control but it does not remove the employer’s duty of care to the employee. From a HR perspective, it requires the employer to consider how to apply company policies to persons not physically present in the work place.
The positive aspects of remote working should also be stated. Remote working can reduce or eliminate the commute time for employees reducing stress and enhancing employee wellbeing. The reduced environmental impact is another positive outcome.
The programme runs over a half day. The programme is delivered by experienced Ibec Executives who provide members advice, consultancy and training on a daily basis. Programme participants are encouraged to express their views and experiences. The programme facilitates participant discussion to ensure a thorough understanding of the key points and their application.

HR and OHS Managers, or anyone responsible for managing Remote Workers. It is particularly important for those that have a responsibility in terms of creation, review or management of a Remote Work Programme
